It''s official, Cassiebear is WALKING! and she is so proud of herself, it''s so funny. If she wants to get somewhere really fast, she''ll plop down to crawn. But if she''s just cruising around, she''ll walk. It''s really cute.
I''ve been really bad about updating...sorry. They started daycare on the 5th of this month, to allow Mark more time to work on the business stuff. He''s working so hard on all of this.
The kiddo''s love daycare. I was spying on them the other day and they were so well behaved in there. Taking their cracker, eating the fruit off their plate, sitting at the table in a chair (not a highchair). They are doing really well.
We went to the pumpkin Farm today. I''m amazed that Cassie still fits in the baby Bejorn carrier that the Elizabeth Nash foundation gave to us...even with her costume on.
We went on a hay ride (we were towed by an old tractor), and went on a little train ride around the Plant Farm in Arlington. The kids had a good time. We also saw some farm animals (chickens, sheep, goats)- which is a first for them.
I just can''t believe how fast time is flying by. These kiddos can do more and more every day. It''s amazing!
We switched Ry back to formula because he was really really fussy. Crying all of the time, whining, making sad faces...and he use to be our easy going happy-go-lucky guy. He seems to be much happier back on the formula. we switched them shortly after their birthday. Tristan and Cassie are doing fine on the milk. We''ve kind of suspected it didn''t agree with him, and at the advice of the doctor, switched him back to formula.
Tristan is our little parrot. He can say cassie, watch (thank you Nana!!!), kitty cat (sounds like tittytat, LOL), hi, mommy, and daddy.
Cassie sure is a fiesty little thing...apparently a lot like me :), Mark''s Pitbull (as he calls me), and pitbull JR. She''s so full of life and ACTIVE, the child never sits still, not for a moment. She''s also the most notorious and fastest toy stealer around. Causing lots of crying in the play room.
We have an almost walker. I''ve got some video of Cassie to upload this week. She''s got a "walking" toy and she''s pushing it/walking behind it. She''s doing very well, we anticipate she''ll be walking by November-ish.
Ryland had an ear infection this past week, nothing to complain about though since this is the FIRST sickness we''ve had from anyone. We''ve all been so lucky!
Halloween is around the corner and the boys are going to be cowboys and Cassie will be a butterfly. I can''t wait. We are likely going trick Or Treating with the neighbor girls.
Ryland is crawling now, and tristan is working on it. He will crawl for 2-3 movements and then go onto his belly for his army crawl.
We started family dinners last night, the kids are doing pretty well. They go down for a nap at 5:30-6 (still with a bath) and then are up at 7:30-8 to eat dinner with us. Then back to bed at about 9pm. Seems to be working well. Although Cassie refuses to feed herself... so stubborn, just like someone else WE all know :)
That darn kid, he bit Tristan again! Tristan has 2 welts on his Right arm now. I wasn''t home for it but Mark tells me that Tristan was howling.
We have another crawler!!!! Ryland is OFFICIALLY crawling all over the place. He''s also pulled himself to a standing position. Tristan gets around in an army crawl. It''s adorable and he''s really fast.
We have a BITER!!!
The kids were playing as normal, putting their fingers in eachothers face. Ry bug decided he was a bit hungry and took a bit of Tristan Monster''s finger. Tristan looked shocked as he wasn''t sure what was going on, then the flood gates opened and he started crying loudly. Ry let go but the damage had already been done. A nice imprint of Ry''s top and bottom teeth on Tristan''s finger. We''ve got to watch him though because yesterday he bit me and then when Julie got home he bit her on the neck.
Cassie bear was her normal daddy''s girl today. She always wants a crib mate during "nap time", and "talked" to the boys today during their nap, while they slept.
Ryland is waving now, and he knows it''s purpose. Such a smart, and silly guy!! I didn''t get to see it, but Mark went to his dad''s store today and took the babies with him. A woman waved bye bye to the babies, and Ryland started waving back. The woman stopped and he stopped. Then she started again and he waved back. I wish I could have seen it.
Cassie also did something today. She pulled herself up to a sitting position. She did it on Mark, yanking on his leg. But nevertheless she did it.
I got to play with them quite a bit after work today, it was nice. Off to bed we all go!!!
That girl can move!!! She is officially crawling. I added a video of it that Mark took today. I can''t believe she is crawling. YIKES. She is also getting herself into the sitting position. Nana saw her doing this on Saturday and Mark saw it today.... I''m still waiting.
Mark gave the kiddo''s spoons to play with today when he wes feeding them. Ryland kept trying to put his spoon in his mouth when Mark put the spoon in his mouth. And they got to eat cheerio''s off their highchairs. I guess Bodhi and Krieger helped themselves when Mark went to change the babies.
We went over to our friend Annie''s house today. It was her friends and family birthday party. We had a great time, we always do with Annie and Mitch! The kiddos had a good time too.
We tried something new tonight, we got on their trampoline with the babies. Cassie thought it was the greatest thing ever and was laughing so hard. She actually cried when I took her off it. We got some video and pictures of it, so they will be in the June pictures folder and some of the newer videos on top.
We did the CF walk today. It was raining so hard when we got there. I covered the kids feet up with plastic garbage bags. My mom thought I was crazy, I thought it was resourceful :).
It stopped raining all throughout our walk and didn''t start up again until we were done. It was actually nice that it wasn''t too warm out side because nobody got overheated. My mom was there, Mark of course, all 3 babies, Mark''s best friend Mitch, Our friend Annie who is also Mitch''s girlfriend and longtime friend of Mark, Annie''s mom and their exchange student, and Mark''s dad and step-mom. It was so wonderful for all of them to show up! I made tee shirts too.
Despite the weather, I had a really great day, the babies did so well (Tristan even fell asleep during the walk), and everyone else seemed to have a good time too.
Ryland got his third tooth today, it''s his upper right one. It looks like the left might poke through soon too. I can''t believe how fast these kids are growing.
Mark and I get to sleep in tomorrow, woohoooo! I LOVE my mother!!!! She is coming up tomorrow morning to get the babies out of bed and play for a few hours. This will give us time to sleep in. I LOVE that she does this for us. It''s so nice.
My mom helped me take some pictures of the kids today. Cassie was SUCCESSFULLY sitting on her own. The boys did it by themselves last weekend at their 8 month photo''s but cassie kept falling over (it was actually quite funny).
But she sat the longest today, Ryland actually fell over first. Ryland thought it was funny to fall over and roll onto his tummy.
We took some pictures for a fathers day thing I''m putting together for Mark. The pictures turned out brilliant. I can''t wait to get it all put together.
Tristan was clapping today. I can''t believe it, I can''t believe all the cute things they are doing. I never thought some things would be so exciting LOL!
Cassie is also kind of waving. I say "bye-bye" to them every morning and make a hand motion to go with it. well now, when she wants to, Cassie will lift her arm about 1/2 way up and wave too. Sometimes with the Right, sometimes with the Left and sometimes with both. It''s really cute.
I switched the kids bedtime routine today. They did wonderful with the change though!
Since they are getting their teeth (Cassie''s first one is almost through the skin!), I want to stop giving them a bottle right before bed, and start cleaning their gums.
So tonight they had bottles right after they had their food. Then they had a bath and then they went into bed. They did get a bottle with water in the bed, and they drank maybe an ounce
I''m a mother this year! WOW, I can''t believe it. Mark did the cutest think with the babies. He had them make me hand and foot prints, and decoraded the envelope of my card, and also on some regular paper. The babies loved to play with the finger paint. What a creative idea he had.
My mom came over this morning and got the babies up for their AM feeding. This allowed Mark and I to sleep in (what a wonderful mothers day!!!). She stayed until 11 and then went home. We are seeing her later for dinner anyways.
Cassie got up on her hands and knees AT THE SAME TIME for the first time today. This girl is gonna crawl soon!!!
All 3 babies are finally holding their bottles on their own too. Cassie needed some help today because she kept putting it too low and would then suck only air. But they finished an entire feeding holding them.
It was a rough night for Ryland. Not sure exactly what his issue was, but the poor boy cried for over 40 minutes. I finally had to go get him. We sat in the garage on the old couch (no, we haven''t moved it yet LOL) while Mark worked out. He was watching Mark work out and playing... and then he threw up on me. Gotta love your kids. So, back to bed he went. But he got at least 30 minutes of one on one time tonight, which he seemed to enjoy.
We went to our nephew''s baseball game today, and took the new stroller for the first time. It works great. We''ll have to get a system down for getting it in/out of the car, but it will all come in due time.
Everyone is now in the "big boy/girl" carseats now. Cassie is going to be in the one behind the passenger, Tristan behind the driver and Ry in the back by himself. Hopefully this week I can move Tristan''s seat to the back with Ry. We decided that will be the best seating arrangment after trying the current one we are using.
We are off to a birthday party tomorrow, so I''m off to bed now.
Last week when Nana was here watching the babies so Mark and I could have a date (thank you Mom!!!), she taught Cassie something on accident. Apparently Cassie was trying to grab and smack her glasses, so she said "no Cassie" while shaking her head. Soooooooo, now Cassie''s most favorite thing to do is shake her head no. If you go to the video section, you will see one about Cassie loving Nana. It gave Mark and I a really good laugh.
Mark taught Tristan to shake his head yes today. It''s so cute. We''ve only caught it on camera once, but it''s so adorable. He''s also been saying gaga-googoo (seriously!). But now he is also saying "gaga, gaga" after I say "dada, dada" so I think he''s trying to say dada, but it comes out as a g sound instead of a d.
Putting them to bed tonight was a lot easier than last night. Mark said he had a tough day though. They were all confused about their schedule, when they were suppose to eat, when they were suppose to nap.... so he had a LONG day with them.
When I walked in the door, as soon as Tristan caught sight of me, he lost it. They were jumping happily until he saw me. Then Cassie saw me and got fussy-but Mark was holding and playing with her. So I picked up Tristan and then Ry saw me and started crying too. I set Tristan down with Mark and Cassie to grab Ry quickly, then Tristan lost it again. I got Ry and Mark and I sat there with all 3 of them. Tristan kept trying to hug my neck, and was fussy when he couldn''t. I think this is what people are talking about when they say they feel they are being pulled in 3 different directions. whooh, what an afternoon.
VOMIT VOMIT IN MY HAIR, VOMIT VOMIT EVERYWHERE
Bedtime was a little rough today. We''ve been giving Ryland Rantadine, a medication for reflux (the doctor thinks his wheezing might be related to reflux and swallowing???- we''ll see!), and he hates it (it tastes pretty nasty). He''s only been on it for about a week or so. Tonight after he was done with his bottle, I took it from him and he was holding/playing with his teddy bear.
Then he started throwing up all over. It was really scary because he was on his back in the boppy pillow (this is why you don''t leave them alone in these things!) and would have aspirated had I not been right there. It got all over the crib, the bumper, the sheets, the boppy.... so it all went into the wash. I cleaned it all up, put new sheets on and made him a new bottle.
I gave him the bottle and he was eager for it, plus it had been about 30 minutes since he threw up. So he took about 4 oz and was done. He just laid in my arms, smiling and making noises and laughing a bit. Then he threw up again. All over me, all over the rocking chair, the floor, himself again... At this point, I called for Mark to come help me.
Ry and I both jumped in the shower while Mark (thank you babe!) cleaned up the chair and the floor, and took Ry after I washed him, so that I could wash off too.
We decided no more food for that little one. He played for a few minutes in his crib and then was out. He''s still up there snoozing, all 3 of them are.
Mark and I are off to bed for the earliest night''s sleep in years. We are both exhausted this week with the schedule changes. Off to sleep we go! And yes, the time is right, it''s 8:43pm.
